Shri Ram Shalaka Prashnavali

Remember Lord Rama, think of your question clearly, then tap any one syllable below.

॥ श्री राम ॥

What is Shri Ram Shalaka Prashnavali?

It is a traditional question-and-answer grid based on the Ramcharitmanas of Goswami Tulsidas. Its 15×15 grid holds 225 syllables and vowel signs. Starting from the cell you pick and taking every 9th cell, the syllables join to form one of nine chaupais (verses), and the meaning of that chaupai is your answer.

How to ask

Sit calmly, remember Lord Rama and keep one clear question in mind. Then tap a cell without overthinking. Ask the same question only once — repeating it until you get the answer you want goes against the spirit of the prashnavali.

Frequently asked questions

How many answers are there?

Nine. Five chaupais are favourable, two are uncertain and two advise caution.

Is this the same grid as in printed editions?

Yes. Our grid has been checked so that all nine chaupais form letter by letter from it.

This is based on faith and tradition. For big decisions, also think it through and seek proper advice.
