How we calculate

The Moon and Sun are calculated with Jean Meeus's astronomical algorithms and the other planets with standard orbital elements. Sidereal positions use the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, the one adopted by the Indian national calendar. Guna milan follows the traditional Ashtakoot method.
